The mission of The Breast Cancer Relief Foundation (TBCRF) is to serve the unmet needs of women with breast cancer – in the United States and around the world – through the support and promotion of education and awareness, prevention and early detection, medical assistance and relief, and innovative breast cancer research. We are committed to meeting the immediate needs of individuals who might otherwise go without treatment and working toward a world free of this terrible disease.
Breast cancer continues to be the most common type of cancer among women worldwide with more than 1.3 million women receiving a breast cancer diagnosis each year and over 500,000 losing their life to this terrible disease. TBCRF believes strongly that these statistics can and must be changed. We are committed to making a difference in the fight against breast cancer and are actively doing so by:
- meeting the immediate medical needs of patients who might otherwise go without treatment
- promoting education and awareness concerning early detection and prevention
- supporting mobile and community clinics that provide free mammograms to uninsured and underinsured women throughout the United States
- providing financial assistance to help cover costs like transportation, lodging, or co-pays that may be an obstacle preventing a woman from receiving treatment
- encouraging innovative breast cancer research through grant awards to support the investigation, development, and advancement of novel treatments and screening techniques
